This is a Lionel 1516WS 2065 Steam Passenger Train Set from 1954. Included is a steam locomotive, a tender, an observation car and 2 pullman cars. The locomotive features a decorative bell, die-cast metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features plastic construction, a operating die-cast metal knuckle coupler, die-cast metal trucks, metal wheels and axles. Each passenger car features a durable ABS body, an illuminated interior with passenger silhouetted windows, die-cast trucks with operating metal couplers and each car measures 11 inches long.
The set box shows a bit of wear, but the locomotive and car boxes are all crisp and include al their flaps. The original insert is included as well for the loco and tender. Overall it is in nice shape, complete with no broken or missing parts. It has a couple minor scratches on the passenger cars but no chips, broken corners or missing paint. It is all original with no reproduction parts. The paint and lettering is complete and has not faded. Inspected by both our in-house Lionel Postwar experts and by our Authorized Lionel Service Station, we guarantee this item is completely functional and operable.
