Here is a Lionel 3814 Operating Merchandise Car from the early 1940s. The 3814 was among the first of Lionel's remote controlled operating cars, and this it the later, harder to find version with rubber stamped lettering. This operating merchandise car features two metal couplers, brake wheels, sliding doors, and metal wheels. When activated by a RCS or UCS track section the door opens and the merchandise cubes fly out.

This item has a few scratches on the edges of the frame and body. There are a few specks of rust on the edges of the frame. It clearly shows signs of use, but it is complete. The automatic door does not open on its own due to a bad cam. No load is included. This item has been serviced by our repair shop. Please see picture for service details. Overall condition is Very Good.
