Lionel 1666 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive

This is a Lionel 1666 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive. The 1666 locomotive has the following standard features: a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement with a black-painted, die-cast boiler, full complement of detailed driving wheel hardware, nickel-rimmed spoked drive wheels, die-cast trailing truck, three-position E-unit, headlight, wire handrails plus an ornamental bell and decorative whistle. The 1666 does not have a smoke unit.

It has a fair number of nicks and scratches on the boiler, cab, and edges of the body. There are a few spots of rust on the under frame, drawbar, and reverse switch. There are a few small specks of rust on the edges of the boiler and body. The cab roof is slight bent in one corner. Also, the side rods are missing and are not included. This item was inspected by both our in-house Lionel Postwar experts and by our Authorized Lionel Service Station and we guarantee this item is completely functional and operable. The cattle guard is cracked and has been repaired with JB Weld; please see picture. Please see the inspection card for details. Overall condition is Very Good.
