Founded in 1962 as a part-time venture, Con-Cor’s first kit was a wood and metal HO craftsman kit of the General American Airslide covered hopper. The part-time venture has grown leaps and bounds, and today, Con-Cor offers one of the most extensive product lines for N scale modelers in the world, and Con-Cor has not stopped with that, it continues to expand its HO line as well. Its product line includes passenger and freight cars, locomotives, tractor-trailers, tracks, plastic structure kits, and accessories in both HO and N scales. Con-Cor has a manufacturing plant and warehouse in Tucson, Arizona where 20% of its products are now manufactured. Although 80% its products are from subcontractors from China, in 2014 the company began a "Re-Shoring" program moving more of its product production back to the USA.
