K-Line Trains

K-Line is a brand name under MDK which was founded by Maury D. Klein in 1975. K-Line is best known for its 1:48 O scale and O Gauge products, with quality ranging from the low end with its initial value-priced offerings to some of the very best mass-produced O gauge trains with the scale models it released in its later years. The name K-Line was also used on a line of aftermarket Lionel-compatible tubular track as well as a copy of the A.C. Gilbert American Flyer line of two-rail 'S' Gauge track. By the mid-eighties, its catalog featured trains sets, track, buildings, rolling stock and accessories at very affordable prices.  K-Line became a very popular brand but legal disputes and financial difficulties led to its filing of bankruptcy in 2005.
