Mantua is thought of the pioneer of the “ready-to-run” HO scale by model railroaders. As a brand under the Tyco name, it’s founders, the Tyler family, were leaders in the development of model railroad kits starting in the 1930’s. After 2001, Model Power purchased the bulk of the product line and brought back some of its products under the “Mantua Classics” name.
