Micro Trains

Micro-Trains dates back to 1940 when founders Keith and Dale Edwards started making model train turnouts. Choosing the name Kadee, they designed and patented the Magne-Matic Coupler. It soon became the standard choice as an HO scale coupler system by the model railroader. The brothers had a falling out in the early 1990's, and Dale took over Kadee while Keith established the Micro-Trains Line.

In the 1960's they began making their coupler in N Scale. Soon they began adding wheels, trucks and underframes to the product line. In 1972 they introduced a complete freight car line. Soon after they expanded to Nn3 and Z Scale. Today Micro-Trains is the only company that offers more than 120 different styles of prototypically correct model freight cars.

Micro-trains has a great choice of N and Z scale freight cars and parts, and HO parts. Take a look!
