Morning Sun Books

Known as the #1 publisher of all-color railroad books, Morning Sun Books was founded by Robert J. Yanosey in 1986. He had a fifteen-year railroading career as a Penn Central trainmaster, an Erie-Lackawanna towerman, Conrail regional official, Chief, Bureau of Rail Operations for NJDOT, and in 1980, he became the Director of Rail Transportation for NJ Transit. Robert left his railroading career and created Morning Sun Books. His first endeavor in book publishing was the “Penn Central Power, a visual history of an American railroad tragedy”. The book was a success, and it inspired him to publish many more more railroad books covering the United States.

Thirty years later, Morning Sun Books boasts of more than 500 titles later, a line of eBooks and publishes 30-36 books annually, and Trainz offers a number of them.
