A family owned German company, Preiser was founded in 1945, and is a manufacturer of miniature figures and accessories for model railways and for model building. At the beginning, Preiser figures were carved by hand from wood but in the sixties, they began manufacturing figurines in plastic injection molding, although its employees still assembled and painted all the figurines. Its detailed figurines are used for architectural models and model railways, and in art and advertising. Because of the high quality and details of its products, Preiser is marketed in other countries including the United States, Japan and the rest of Europe, and it aims to be the leader in manufacturing of figurines worldwide.
