In 1988 Bachmann introduced the Spectrum line to gear towards more experienced model railroaders. The line introduce higher-quality detailed models. Bachmann decided to increase the quality of it's standard line and phased out most of the Spectrum label. Many of the Spectrum products are now sold under the standard line.
Bachmann offers models and products in HO, N, On30, 00 gauge, HOn30, and G scale.
