In the United States the 4-4-2 would sometimes be called the \"Milwaukee\" due to it running on the Milwaukee rail-road, but most would find that the \"Atlantic\" just rolled off the tongue a little bit better. In its construction the 4-4-2 saw an advantage over other locomotives thanks to its trailing wheels allowing for a deeper firebox in the driving wheels. Most of the Atlantic models would see their time in the spotlight come to an end, and would eventually go out of commission in the mid-20th century.
