Heading up the “Morning Daylight” was the specially built steam locomotive, the GS-4, one of the most well known steam engines ever built. This 10-car set includes a full set of uniquely tooled cars that match the Pre-war consist of the 98\/99 (Eastbound\/Westbound) Morning Daylight prototype train with its as-delivered Southern Pacific Lines lettering. These cars utilize a combination of full-body diaphragms, knuckle couplers and special articulated mid-car joints in order to replicate the streamlined appearance of the real train as accurately as possible.
