Stylistically, the SD40 locomotive series sported three 48 inch radiator fans at the rear of the long hood and a straight radiator secion, unlike the flared radiator of the SD45. The N scale SD40 models include our White LED Headlight, printed numberboards, MU hose detail, and our magnetic knuckle coupler. The mechanism is DCC-Friendly, designed for simple drop-in installation of a DCC decoder of the hobbyist's choice.
