The attempt failed; not many were sold; and pastel colors were mostly discontinued. Today, it is one of the most valued Lionel sets in existence. This set includes the powered 2037-500 Pink Steam Locomotive w\/Smoke, 1130T-500 Pink Lionel Lines Tender, 6436-500 Lilac Lehigh Valley Hopper, 6462-500 Pink NYC Canister Car w\/canisters, 6464-510 Pastel Green NYC Pacemaker Car, 6464-515 Pastel Yellow MKT Boxcar, 6427-500 Pastel Blue Pennsylvania Porthole Caboose, and the 1043-500 White 60 Watt Transformer.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item functioned when tested however there was some stuttering, slowness, and difficulty starting. The transformer has not been tested and is being sold as is. There are scratches, scuffs, and spots of rusting across the surface of these cars. There is some discoloration and spots of paint loss across the surface of these items. Numerous very minor trim pieces are broken, damaged, or missing. There is some minor corrosion on the wheels, driver, and connecting rods of the locomotive. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
