The Rio Grande was the only diesel of the three 221s to be catalogued. While the Rio Grande is a common item, the United states Marine Corps is a rare item and the Santa Fe is extremely scarce. This Rio Grande features a yellow molded body with black lettering and stripes, traction tire, two-position E-unit and a non-operating rear coupler. It does not contain illumination and there is no front coupler. It also lacks a frame box between the trucks.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. There is also rust on the chassis, wheels, axels and pickups. The coupler is missing its metal rod that holds it in place. There is a few cracks where the screw is on the back of the shell. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
