The 2245 was always sold as an AB combination. Even with a single motor and Magnetraction, it is a powerful locomotive. The 2245 is unusual in that it was produced for only two years and there are two distinct versions of both the A and B unit. The first of the single-motor F3s, the 2245 was included in several colorful sets and remains popular with collectors today. Features include a motor, portholes, operating horns, die-cast metal trucks, an operating headlight, a reverse unit, metal wheels and operating knuckle couplers. The shell on the locomotive is unattached and comes off when pulled. The stirrup steps are bent and show spots of rust. The decals on these items are yellowed and chipped. There is blue sharpie on the chassis of these items. The port windows are yellowed and one is missing from the B Unit. The roof fans have been painted. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
