In the United States the 4-4-2 would be called the \"Milwaukee “due to it running on the Milwaukee rail-road, but most would find that the \"Atlantic\" just rolled off the tongue a little bit better. In its construction the 4-4-2 saw an advantage over other locomotives thanks to its trailing wheels allowing for a deeper firebox in the driving wheels. Most of the Atlantic models would see their time in the spotlight come to an end, and would eventually go out of commission in the mid-20th century. Today handfuls exist in preservation status in various rail-road museums.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. The locomotive is non-functional and being sold As-Is. Parts of the locomotive's frame have been glued back into place, but this fix is only temporary as the pieces still remain very brittle. The locomotive's trailing truck is broken off and one of the wheels is very brittle with chunks already broken off. The locomotive's boiler front piece is loose. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The locomotive and tender show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
