There is a 3rd button on the controller to unload the coal through the hatches on the bottom of the hopper car. The 456 can also be used in conjunction with the 397 Coal Loader (requiring the maroon plastic transfer bin and two mounting posts); With this configuration, the coal that is unloaded from a 3456 type hopper on the 456 ramp is transferred directly into the 397. The ramp measures 35 inches long x 7 inches tall x 3 1\/2 inches wide.
