There is a heavy layer of surface rust and oxidation coating the bottom half of both the locomotive and tender. This item displays scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Thin trim pieces, like the handrails and tender ladder, are slightly bent out of shape. Reversing unit is non-functional, exact cause could not be diagnosed and replacement parts were unavailable at time of repair. Sold as-is. The original box is not included.
