There is residual grease in the gears on the locomotive from the previous owner. The inside of the gondola and hopper cars have dust and grime. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There is some tape residue on the bottom of the caboose, the caboose is also missing the smoke stack piece. The wheels show average run-time. The track has rust and moderate wear. Some of the straight track pieces have yellowed. The box has soilage. The instruction manual is not included.
