This flatcar features a removable rocket, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. The missile load that accompanies this car was manufactured by Sterling Plastics, which had developed it as a pencil case as a part of its normal product line. The standard Sterling pencil case did include a pencil sharpener in the base of the capsule. According to different sources, the Lionel missiles were not supposed to include a sharpener. However, according to one source Sterling did send some rockets to Lionel that included sharpeners.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance.
