It featured interior illumination with window shell and two magnetic couplers. It was trimmed with a tall smokejack, sheet-metal ladders, and frame with battery boxes and two brake wheels. The frame assembly was painted black. During 1952, the caboose was equipped with bar-end trucks, while prior to that staple-end trucks were used.
