Previously, this train was spoken of by collectors as the Sears General. Possibly some sets ended up being\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eresold at Sears, but X507NA was originally intended to be given away as a promotional item by participating drug stores. Schmid’s book shows two examples of advertising signs that urged boys to enter a drawing and \"win this famous LIONEL train set!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This set box includes the very rare original display sleeve. This display sleeve is nearly impossible to come by as only a few have survived over the years in addition to this set's very limited production. The sleeve box does a have a large puncture with some discoloration surrounding the hole as well. Several spots of the sleeve show small rips and spots of staining. Most of the sleeves edges and framing show wear and lighting ripping. The original \"Sear\" display sign is also included with the set. The set box does show some spots of light scraping where the red portion is scraped off exposing the carboard base. The 18 piece Frontier Set (963-100) comes complete in its original box. The body pieces to the windmill are broken with some pieces broken off and missing entirely. The Frontier Set's box is heavily worn, with most edges and corners having been taped together. The included track sections show heavy previous use with thick rub marking and rusting visible on the rails and ties. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
