Before we knew it, the 2-8-2 also known as the \"Mikado\" found itself in rail yards around the world from the United States to the Congo hauling freight from stop to stop. The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The couplers will likely need to be replaced. This locomotive and tender show scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The tender's step pieces are bent. One of the rods is slightly bent. Both units show rusting on the shell and trim. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
