By the time EMD stopped producing the NW-2 in 1949, they had sold over 1,100 units.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The 125-ton NW-2 ran on a 12-cylinder 567 engine worked hard on lines such as Western Maryland and Union Pacific.
