It wouldn't take long from the Royal George model of 1827 for the 0-6-0 to gain attention., with models becoming very prominent throughout ,much of the world by the mid-1850s. Standing the test of time is no easy task, but the 0-6-0 was up to the challenge, and would prove its usefulness well into the 20th century gaining prominence in dock-yard railways thanks to their smaller wheel design.
