Rapido Trains Inc. is proud to preset the first-ever accurate model of this unique train in any scale. Each train features one Intermediate Car and two Power Dome Car locomotives. For speed and reliability, both engines are powered, and both have sound decoders (sounds include turbines, bell, doors, station announcements and the unit's distinctive horns, all taken from prototype recordings) and speakers. More Intermediate Cars are available to make a longer train. Several different Coach, Café and Club cars are available, depending on the choice of paint scheme. The TurboTrain operates with or without sound on both DC and DCC. The TurboTrain comes with numerous factory-applied detail parts; working full-width diaphragms, full interior lighting, constant directional headlights and operating Gyralites, a decal sheet with additional logos and car numbers, a 48-page, full-color book on the history of the TurboTrain featuring dozens of never-before-published photographs and a hand-held controller for operating the train sounds in DC. The TurboTrain features interior detail that has rarely been attempted in HO Scale including padded armrests, faucets in the bathroom sinks, gauges in the engineman's cab, and a microwave behind the counter in the café car. The models are fully prototype-specific, with three different Power Dome Car designs represented and five Intermediate Car styles available.
