Before we knew it, the 2-8-2 also known as the \"Mikado\" found itself in rail yards around the world from the United States to the Congo hauling freight from stop to stop. The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The locomotive's boiler railing is disconnected at the front platform. The locomotive's grab-iron pieces on the cab sides are bent. The locomotive's cut-lever is bent. The tender has a piece of the rear step broken off and missing. The tender's roof railing is bent. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
