This Concord Coach kit is based on a design by the Abbot-Downing Company of Concord, New Hampshire who perfected the “Concord Coach” design in the late 1820's. One of their largest customers was Wells Fargo \u0026amp; Company who still use this coach as their trademark (see photo). This coach was used to carry passengers, mail and other valuable cargo until its function was absorbed by the railroads in the latter part of the 1800's.
