The 2-6-6-4 engines were built for the Pittsburgh and Virginia Rail Road, and were primarily mountain luggers. Not known for speed, but rather their power, the 2-6-6-4 could amass up to 5,000 draw-bar horse-power at speeds of up to 45mph.
