Today American Flyer is owned by Lionel and makes a complete line of S trains, often times using the same designs from 50 years ago. Besides American Flyer, American Models and S-Helper Service also contribute to the S Scale market. S combines the scale realism of smaller HS Scale trains with the playful animation of 3-rail S Scale trains.
