Here is a Lionel 2055 Vintage O 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive from 1953-55. Features include die-cast metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, a bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and nice detail. The correct matching tender is a 6026W, not included.
Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on this item. Additionally, paint throughout the body shows moderate wear, chipping, and pitting. rear corner of the cab roof shows some heavier paint chips. The wheels show signs of wear. When tested item ran smoothly. Marker jewels have glue residue from previous repair. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included.
