Here is a Lionel 265 Vintage O Prewar Blue Streak Set w/ 265E 265W 617 618 619 from 1935-40. A unique-looking engine, the 265 headed up several of Lionel‘s most popular sets in the mid and late 1930s. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, metal side rods and metal wheels. The tender features tinplate construction, a solenoid box coupler, tinplate trucks with black journals and metal wheels.
Per our grading of this item, it is equivalent to the TCA rating of R-4: Very Good -- Restored to a general high standard. However, noticeable differences exist particularly with respect to the color, finish, and texture of paint when compared to an original piece. Each item shows some rusting on the wheels. These items show some scratches and spots of paint loss on the shell and chassis. These items are in excellent overall condition, free of broken trim pieces. These items show some signs of light previous use. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at these items.
