Darrow sold his first Monopoly board game to friends, family, and a Philadelphia department store. In 1935, under the new ownership wing of Parker Brothers, the infectiously fun game became an instant best-seller. In its first year, it earned the title of best-selling game in America! Celebrate this ever-popular American icon with three classic Monopoly boxcars by Lionel. Take a walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, New York Avenue, or Boardwalk--in a sports car, wheelbarrow, or boot! Included is a 39293 Boardwalk Boxcar, a 39294 New York Avenue Boxcar and a 39295 Pennsylvania Avenue Boxcar. Features include die-cast metal sprung trucks and operating couplers, opening doors, a metal frame and each car is individually boxed. Each car measures 10 1/2 inches long and the minimum curve radius is O-27.
