Here is an O Scale BRASS 0-6-0 Steam Locomotive (2-Rail) -Unpainted. Features include brass construction, knuckle coupler on the front, metal wheels & axles, and a motor.
Introduced in the 19th century, the 0-6-0 model locomotive was one of the earliest models ever introduced to rail roads. With the first known use being in the UK (Royal George -- 1827) the 0-6-0 would become a staple on European rail-ways with the vast majority of countries relying on the 0-6-0. It wouldn't take long from the Royal George model of 1827 for the 0-6-0 to gain attention., with models becoming very prominent throughout ,much of the world by the mid-1850s. Standing the test of time is no easy task, but the 0-6-0 was up to the challenge, and would prove its usefulness well into the 20th century gaining prominence in dock-yard railways thanks to their smaller wheel design. The 0-6-0 was a pioneer of the rail-road industry, and now serves a pleasant reminder of how far the industry has come!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There is solder in some of the joints. There are spots of tarnish and discoloration throughout the unpainted brass body. The wheels show wear from previous use. This model is a bit dusty and worn from previous use. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The item is missing the tender. The item will not run without the tender.
