Hostorically, promo cars were used by car dealerships to show customers the cars, particularly colors, they have available without having to actually have every car in stock. These promo cars date back pretty much to the beginning of car dealerships. Promo cars are fun to collect as they are perfect models of the actual vehicles that were sold by car manufacturers. Promo cars are not to be confused with model cars made by companies other than the car manufacturers. Promo cars had a specific purpose, are rather rare, and therefore are worth a lot!
