This is a Lionel 6-1976 O Gauge TCA Bicentennial Train Set from 1976. This set was made by special order for the Train Collector‘s Association. It features a U36B Diesel and three streamlined passenger cars. Each passenger car measures 11 inches long. The locomotive is almost identical to the 1776 U36B except that it is numbered 1976 and has the TCA logo on the sides. The cars are the 2400-series O27 passenger cars with the nice die-cast trucks with operating couplers and are named Freedom Bell, American Eagle, and Stars and Stripes. Reportedly, only around 4,000 of these sets were made.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are signs of light surface rust along the locomotive metal handrails & chassis. The original box is included. The instruction manual is NOT included. Nameplate is NOT included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Very Good.
