Here is a Lionel 6-31783 O Gauge BNSF Ice Cold Express Diesel Train Set w/Legacy. How cool is this? A modern AC6000 diesel, three mechanical reefers, and trailing scale caboose all decked out in an unforgettable styled version of the BNSF Ice Cold Express paint scheme. Inspired by the actual Ice Cold Express cars and the Lionel Collectors Club of America’s 2009 Convention Car, this special set raises the creative bar of your scale-sized layout. Look closely to see the crisp and colorful icicle decoration that hangs near the roof of each freight car, and the icy snow that’s built up on the AC6000 BNSF logo and cab number.
Inside each of the high gloss, pearl white reefers you’ll find something new. From one car you’ll hear the mechanical sounds of the cooling generator, while a second operating reefer fills with “icy cold smoke”. The third reefer comes packed with special box loads. Each of these 57’ refrigerator cars also come equipped with a green “check light” near the door to show that refrigeration is in operation and ready to roll.
The scale BNSF AC6000 diesel that leads the BNSF Ice Cold Express comes equipped with Lionel’s state-of-the-art features, including LEGACY Command Control, LEGACY RailSounds, Odyssey II speed control, and a wide variety of lighting options including ground lights and oscillating ditch lights.
