The Electric Railroad upgrade kit lets users install a Lionel Trainmaster Command Control (TMCC) system in non-TMCC locomotives. Since Lionel retired TMCC in 2006 with the introduction of the TMCC-II Legacy system, these kits are now manufactured under license by 3rd Rail. Perfect for layouts wired for TMCC, the kits also allow hobbyists to add sound to otherwise quiet locomotives.
