Western Maryland trains and locomotives for sale

The Western Maryland Railway, recognized by its WM reporting mark, was founded in 1852 to serve western Maryland and surrounding regions while connecting coal fields, industrial centers, and freight routes throughout the Appalachian region. Western Maryland trains for sale remain especially popular with collectors and model railroaders interested in regional freight service, mountain railroading, and classic eastern railroad operations before the line became part of the Chessie System in the 1970s.

WM locomotives, freight cars, and coal hauling equipment continue to be a favorite for layouts featuring Appalachian rail routes, heavy freight service, and transition-era railroading. These railroad models are commonly added to model trains focused on historic eastern railroads and classic industrial freight transportation.
