Dwarvin Fiber Changing Light Color

Changing Light Color

To change the ambiance / color of a particular fiber, add a drop of translucent paint to the end of the fiber.

If you are putting this onto the end of the fiber that is inserted into the Lamplighter, make sure the paint is dry prior to inserting the fiber into the Lamplighter box.

To create an old world look, I use the Tamiya X-26 Orange Translucent paint, however, you may use whatever paint you like or even a colored marker.

Customize Your Lighting Effects

One of the biggest advantages of the Dwarvin fiber optic lighting system is the ability to customize the appearance of your lights. By applying translucent paints or markers to the end of a fiber, you can create warm building lights, realistic street lamps, warning signals, vehicle lights, fire effects, and countless other lighting variations to match your layout's era and scenery.

Whether you're building a modern city scene, a vintage downtown district, or an industrial rail yard, choosing the right fiber size and color can dramatically improve the realism of your lighting. We offer a full selection of fiber optic cables, connectors, and lighting accessories to help you create the exact look you want.
