The “Wishlist” page includes the following functionality:
- It is aware of the Model Number of each item you add a wish for, so it can let you know when similar items become available on Trainz.com.
- It informs you about any recently listed Trainz.com inventory that matches your wishes.
- It informs you about price reductions of any Trainz.com inventory that matches your wishes.
- If you choose to, you can now opt-in to receive email alerts for new inventory or price reductions.
Please note, you will not receive wishlist emails unless you enable Email Alerts (see annotation #2 below).
To help get you comfortable with the new features, let us walk you through how to use your Wishlist.
Adding Wishes
To add items to your wishlist, you will need to be logged into Trainz.com. Using the Trainz.com search or browse functionality, find an item that you would like to add your wishlist, hover over the image and click "Add to Wishlist" as shown below. Please note that you can now find and add wishes for out-of-stock items!
For example, when viewing the Trainz.com search results page, when you hover over the image of a desired item, you’ll see two options. Click the second option with the heart symbol and the phrase “Add to Wishlist.”
You can also add wishes by clicking "Add to Wishlist" on the Item Detail page. The heart icon will change color and the text will change to "In Wishlist":
Clicking the heart icon when you have already added an item to the wishlist will toggle the item back off of your wishlist.
You can also manage your wishlist from the “Wishlist” page.
Managing your Wishlist
You can manage your Wishlist by clicking on the ”Wishlist” link in the header on any Trainz.com page:
You will be taken to the “Wishlist” page, where you can manage all the options for your wishes.
We have annotated the above screenshot with numbers, to show the various features of the Wishlist page.
- Search your wishlist (useful for long lists!)
- Choose whether you want email alerts.
- Checkbox to remove unwanted items.
- Clicking stock status will take you to the item(s) corresponding to the wish.
- Choose to receive an availability alert.
- Choose to receive a price drop alert.
- Sort by newest wishes, price, stock status, or alphabetical order.
- Click to add a note to your wish.
- Change the number of wishes displayed per page.
- Navigate from page to page.
