Lionel TrainMaster Command Control Mother Boards

With the advent of modular TMCC components, Lionel developed multiple motherboard styles to accommodate a wide range of locomotive designs. Diesel locomotives typically use one motherboard, providing sockets for the R2LC command receiver, RailSounds audio board, RailSounds power board, and, in rare cases, a slot for a modular AD20B board (used for oscillating ditch lights). Steam locomotives generally require two motherboards: one inside the locomotive for the R2LC, and one inside the tender for the two RailSounds boards and, optionally, an AD20A IR decoder. We have organized motherboards by intended application to make selection easier.

Every Lionel modular motherboard has a unique part number printed on the silkscreen, which should be referenced when selecting a replacement board. Be sure to check the board part number to ensure compatibility.
