Single yellow strobe. Strobes perform an important function. When you see the strobes flashing on towers, water tanks, smoke stacks, bridges or tall buildings they are meant to serve as a warning to aircraft that there is something tall below them. It is not unusual to see more than one strobe flashing simultaneously at the top and the middle of a tower. Strobes are seen on trains, aircraft, boats and more commonly found on emergency vehicles. Many firehouses have a blue strobe flashing to designate the location of the firehouse. Even billboards have strobes on them to attract attention. Some emergency vehicles use dual synchronized strobes' others use alternating strobes. The geographic area you model will dictate the types of lights on the emergency vehicles. You will find many uses for the various strobes on your diorama. Use the Miniatronics' WT412 transformer to power one to six of the strobe boards. PC board measures 1 3/8' X 1/2 X 1/8. Each unit operates on 9-14 Volts AC or DC.
