While it was a distinctly Pennsy design, the cars were part of the Railway Express Agency pool and were frequent visitors on railroads all over America, moving bulk mail and express shipments. Some were equipped as messenger cars, with facilities for a rider to accompany a shipment in transit, and were identified by a 6 gold star above the car number. These models are a quick and easy way to add color to passenger trains from your favorite era, and the smaller length of just 60' is ideal for any size layout. Models include the correct balloon-style roof, detailed body, correct trucks, and come with or without rooftop vents as per the prototype.
