Here is an American Flyer 20460 Vintage S "Yard King Special" Steam Freight Train Set from 1958. This set includes a 21145 Nickel Plate Road 0-8-0 Switcher with pilot operating knuckle coupler, smoke, choo-choo & headlight. The Tender has an operating rear knuckle coupler and backup light. The freight cars included are 24003 Santa Fe boxcar, 24109 C&O gondola w/ pipe load, 24539 New Haven flatcar w/ pipe load, (2) 24216 UP hoppers, (2) 24309 Gulf tank cars, 24403 Illinois Central reefer, (2) 24516 New Haven flat cars w/ lumber loads, 24113 D&H gondola w/ a (5) container load & a 24603 AF Lines caboose w/o light. All cars in this set have operating knuckle couplers. Additional accessories include a 26745 90 degree crossover, 26690 track terminal & (24) track locks. The locomotive features a plastic metal construction, metal wheels, a powerful motor, operating head light & directional switch. Each freight car features a plastic construction, plastic wheels & knuckle couplers. This particular set is missing the 24106 PRR gondola car & all track sections.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The wheels show average use. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original boxes are included. The instruction manual is included. This item has been serviced by our repair department. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information.
