This is an American Flyer 302 Vintage S Reading 4-4-2 Atlantic Steam Locomotive & Tender from 1950. It features a powerful motor, reversing unit in the tender, working Choo-Choo and smoke unit in the boiler, and a headlight. The tender has stamped metal trucks with nickel journals and a weighted link coupler.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-3: Poor based on visual appearance. There are severe nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on the shell and chassis. There is significant discoloration across the surface of this item. The wiring across this item is severely damaged, broken, and non functional. The wiring connecting the tender to the locomotive is severely damaged and broken in multiple places. The tender is detached from the locomotive. The smokebox front of the locomotive is detached and missing. There are numerous trim pieces missing from this item. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
