Not only does this locomotive itself feature amazing detail, but it is accompanied by a black walnut display base with highly detailed ballast for that extra dash of realism. This item is in overall excellent condition, as the surfaces of both the locomotive and tender show light nicks and scratches throughout their bodies. The light cover that goes over the center platform light is loose and does not latch shut. Side rods show light areas of oxidation and minute spots of rust beginning to form. Metal railings along the boiler and front platform have a few small areas of paint chipping from their surfaces. Both the bodies of the locomotive and tender also show small chips of paint throughout their surfaces. The rear piece on the cab has paint chips on the sides and the metal pieces that hold it to the cab are a little loose. Stickers are affixed throughout the top of the locomotive and steam chests from the previous owner. Light dust has collected throughout the bodies of both items, so the overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. Window inserts on the cab are a little foggy and show finger prints. The wooden base shows nicks, scratches, chips, and scuff marks throughout its surface. The underside has a large chip out of the wood. Although repaired, some ballast is a bit loose and coming off. Wheels show normal light wear from previous use. Batteries for tender not included. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
