This is a Lionel 2328 Vintage O Burlington GP-7 Powered EMD Diesel Locomotive from 1955-56. The 2328 Burlington GP7 was one of three road names to appear on this all new diesel style of 1955. The other two GP7‘s introduced in 1955 were the 2028 Pennsylvania and 2338 Milwaukee Road. All three GP7‘s have become desirable and collectable diesels. A common problem with the 2328 is the quality of the silver paint. Frequently, the silver has tarnished or become ‘washed out‘ in appearance. Locating a Burlington diesel with a high quality silver exterior will require some effort. Features include a motor, a reverse unit, operating lights, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The wheels show average run-time. Some trim elements are misaligned, bent, damaged or missing. This item show scratches, rust and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item show spots of rust on the chassis, axels, trucks and couplers. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
