Here is a Lionel 2330 Vintage O Pennsylvania GG-1 Electric Locomotive #2330 from 1950. The 2330 succeeded the 2332 and has several improvements, such as dual motors, a battery-operated horn, and magnetraction. The 2330 was produced for one year only and is one of the most difficult regular production GG-1s to find. It also features detailed diecast metal trucks, working pantographs, and metal wheels and axles. Please see my pictures for additional features.
This Lionel 2330 Pennsylvania GG1 electric locomotive is a very attractive, well-preserved example with strong overall collector appeal. The dark green finish remains rich and attractive, with crisp PENNSYLVANIA lettering, clear 2330 numbering, and nicely preserved striping and keystone details.
The pantographs, insulators, roof details, ladders, trucks, wheels, couplers, and underframe all present very well. There are light signs of age, handling, and use consistent with an Excellent-grade piece, but nothing that significantly detracts from the overall presentation.
The original box is included and shows expected age and storage wear, adding to the desirability of this vintage example.
A sharp, collector-worthy GG1 that would display beautifully and make a great addition to any vintage Lionel or Pennsylvania Railroad collection. Overall condition is Excellent.
